About Alexander Technique
Frederic Matthias Alexander was a performer who lost his voice while onstage. He was born in Tasmania in 1869 and worked in Australia, England and the United States. The Alexander Technique is now taught worldwide.
His dream was to be an actor, but he had a vocal problem. He experiment
end on himself, closely observing his movements in a mirror. He came to understand what he was doing to himself which was so disfunctional, and found a way to overcome this.
You may have heard of the technique in relation to relieving pain. Recently a double bind study showed that Alexander Technique lessons gives long term relief.
This is a radical means of improving any movement you make. Given freedom and ease of movement your whole being flows with greater creativity and expressiveness.
