Welcome to the World of the Alexander Technique

LEARN A HABIT FOR LIFE: LEARN THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE: LEARN IN WEST LONDON:

Complimentary and alternative therapies have grown in popularity
so here is something different: the unique principles of the Alexander Technique: an education which is catching on more and more.

Here in Kensington and Chelsea I teach the Alexander Technique skills and principles which are quite different from other therapies.

The Alexander Technique is an education in looking after yourself — self help for life.

Have you thought about how you use yourself? This delicately balanced tool our body — with which we express ourself — it can easily become out of sorts. The Alexander Techique can redress this habitual misuse — using the gentle hands and observation of the teacher.

What are those aches and pains telling you? Perhaps they arise from bad postural habits, back pain, long term stress, accidents, RSI, M.E., pregnancy, bad chairs, old age, scoliosis, neck pain. We all have our weak bits which let us down. Our bodies can change. The Alexander Technique will help this to happen; it is gentle and non invasive, and taught one to one.

Do you need to perform as well as possible? In music, sport, drama, business! Are you a professional who is acting, singing, doing pottery, playing an instrument, public speaking, swimming, running, riding? In addition to preventing injury and enchancing performance, both the resting heart rate and recovery time can change as you learn to pace youself. With the Alexander Technique there is no ceiling to learning how to use yourself better. It is a self help Technique. You learn it from the Alexander Technique teacher, and apply it to yourself.

For anyone wanting freedom of movement and the sense of well being that goes with it, the Alexander Technique will point you in the right direction.
